We have just past the Thanksgiving and now preparing ourselves for the Christmas. I love this holiday season as I get to bake lots of cookies and cakes for my family and friends. I have already started baking and have baked couple of batches of cookies and have sent to my husband’s work. I am excited to try some new recipes this season and share with my readers here. Today I am here to share the recipe of one of my most favorite cookies, chocolate chip cookies!
These chocolate chip cookies are my all-time favorite cookies. I have tried so many variations of this recipe and finally came with this. This recipe comes out perfect every time I bake and is my go to recipe. The cookies are crispy outside and slightly chewy inside. These taste even better the next day of baking. These cookies are on the sweeter side from both the sugars and also from the chocolate chips, so if you want you may reduce the amount of sugar according to your taste.
This recipe is simple with few steps. You need to cream the butter and sugar and then add the eggs and finally the flour and chocolate chips. You may add chocolate chunks in place of chips. The secret of the recipe lies in chilling the dough in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes. Chilling the dough makes the cookies a bit chewy and soft but crispy outside. It also prevents the cookies to turn flat as it hits the oven.
These cookies are perfect for holiday gifts and is perfect to dunk in your glass of milk or cup of coffee or as a dessert after dinner. Enjoy baking some at home with your family.
Tips:
The dough freezes well. You may store the dough for at least a month. Just scoop out balls from the dough and freeze on a parchment lined baking sheet. When frozen, transfer the dough balls into a zip lock or any airtight container. When ready to bake, simply transfer the frozen dough balls onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake. The baking time may increase.
